Burnout Rate for Physicians Spikes, Study Shows

Researchers found that 2020 marked the end of a six-year period of decline in the overall rate of work-induced burnout among physicians. By the end of 2021, 21 months after the COVID-19 pandemic, the physician burnout rate spiked to a new height that was greater than previously monitored by researchers.

MDH Says Mental Health Hospital Should Move Forward

The Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) has found that moving forward with a new, free-standing mental health hospital in Saint Paul is in the public interest due to a lack of inpatient mental health beds. Despite this conclusion, MDH acknowledged significant concerns about the new facility as proposed.
