State Seeking Feedback on Proposed Amendments to X-Ray Rules

The Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) is considering updating the state's X-Ray Rules to address advances in equipment technology, scope of practice for operators of X-ray equipment, service provider responsibilities, inspection requirements, legislative changes, and other related topics. 

On July 27, MDH published the “Request for Comments” in the State Register, and will be accepting feedback on possible changes to the rules in writing until further notice. Interested parties can obtain more information on the possible changes and the rulemaking process at the MDH Rulemaking Website

MDH will publish the specific modifications to the X-Ray rules later as part of the “Notice of Intent to Adopt.”
