The MMA’s Advocacy Action Team (AAT) program has added a new channel on early childhood health. AAT is focused on bringing members together to engage on policy related issues and advocate on behalf of medicine.
The time from birth through age three is critical in brain development and in establishing a foundation for long-term health. Awareness needs to be raised around the importance of these ‘Three Key Years’ and the need for investments in early childhood care and early childhood education.
Early Childhood Health joins the three other AAT channels: Advocacy 101, Firearm Death and Injury Prevention and Vaccines.
More information about the Advocacy Action Team, including descriptions about each channel and how to sign up to become a member, can be found here.
