Focus on Your Well-being with MMA SafeHaven

February 13, 2025

In its ongoing efforts to support physician well-being, the MMA is once again subsidizing the cost of SafeHaven™ memberships. The first 40 MMA members who enroll can access the well-being program for $99.

The SafeHaven subsidy is just another example of the MMA’s support for physician well-being. Last year, the MMA secured important legislative protections through the passage of the Physician Wellness Program law. The legislation—championed by former state senator Kelly Morrison, MD—ensures that clinician participation in MMA SafeHaven is protected.

Now, physician engagement with resources to combat burnout, manage fatigue, or enhance overall wellness cannot be disclosed in investigations, lawsuits, or to licensing boards, except where otherwise required by state law.

With these protections in place, there’s no better time to prioritize your well-being. MMA SafeHaven is a confidential, independent resource designed to help physicians protect their well-being, improve work/life integration, and prevent burnout. Developed in partnership with VITAL WorkLife, this program offers a suite of tools and resources, including:

  • Clinician Peer Coaching – Talk to someone who understands the demands of the profession.

  • Counseling – Available virtually or in-person to fit all schedules.

  • 24/7/365 In-the-Moment Telephonic Support – Help is just a call away.

  • Virtual Concierge Services – Take the stress out of everyday tasks.

  • SafeHaven App – Access well-being assessments, insights, and resources wherever you are.
