Another Merger Announced - CentraCare and Stellis Health
October 29, 2026
On October 21, CentraCare announced plans to acquire Stellis Health, yet another merger of healthcare entities in Minnesota.
This comes on the heels of other significant healthcare mergers, including proposed combinations involving Sutter Health and Allina Health, HealthPartners and Essentia Health, and Sanford Health’s acquisition of North Memorial Health.
The proposed agreement between CentraCare and Stellis would bring Stellis physicians, advanced practice providers, and team members into CentraCare, according to a CentraCare press release. Together, the organizations aim to strengthen coordination between primary care, specialty care, and hospital services, making it easier for patients to access the care they need, when and where they need it.
Stellis shareholders have already voted to move forward with the plans, according to the release. The organizations will now work to complete final agreements and required regulatory review and approval, with a goal of Stellis becoming a part of CentraCare on January 1, 2027.
