August 31, 2023

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) recently released the request for applications for its new Making Care Primary Model, which is set to start operating July 2024 in Minnesota and seven other states.

Applications for the model will be open September 4 through November 30. Additional information can be found in the AMA’s recent advocacy update article

To help with applications, the AMA is collaborating with the American College of Physicians (ACP) and the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP) to host a webinar on September 27 from 6 to 7 pm Central Time. The webinar will provide AMA members interested in applying an opportunity to engage directly with CMS staff. CMS Model Lead staff will open the webinar with a brief overview of the model followed by a Q&A.

Additional details including a formal registration link will follow. Contact Suzanne.Joy@ama-assn.org with immediate questions, otherwise stay tuned to News Now for more information.
