State lawmakers returned to St. Paul on February 17 for the second half of the 2025-2026 biennium.

Dania Kamp, MD, has been elected as the MMA’s president-elect in this year’s leadership election, which was held electronically in August.
Megan Alise Lynch, MD, MS won the contested election for resident/fellow trustee.
Three incumbents and three new members were elected to serve as trustees. The incumbents include:

Rebecca Thomas, MD
Kim Tjaden, MD, MPH

Two incumbent members of the Minnesota delegation to the AMA were also re-elected as delegates:

Two incumbent members of the Minnesota delegation to the AMA were also re-elected as alternates:

Board member terms begin October 1, 2025, and AMA delegation terms begin January 1, 2026.
