Upcoming Events to Help Introduce Youth to Healthcare Careers

September 14, 2023

The Hennepin Healthcare Talent Garden’s 8th and 9th Youth Summit events on November 4 and December 2 are now open for registration. As a physician, you have an important role in helping to diversify the physician workforce, and sharing information about these events with your patients is just one way you can lend your voice to the conversation.

On November 4, Black Youth with Stethoscopes will bring six hours of hands-on learning and a panel of Black healthcare professionals together with 12- to 18-year-old students.

This will be followed by Latine Youth with Stethoscopes on December 2.

Free underground parking, lunch, a stethoscope, and a book of resources and information on healthcare professions will also be provided.

Hennepin Healthcare plans on two additional events in February and April of 2024. For more information, click here or email the HHS Health Equity Team.
