State Requests Input on Minnesota Cancer Surveillance System Rules by September 8

The Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) is considering modifications and updates to the Minnesota Cancer Surveillance System rules (4606 - MN Rules Chapter) through the rulemaking process.  

The proposed amendments will update the Cancer Registry Rules to address 2023 legislative changes, enable Minnesota to provide required federal grant information, update the rule to reflect changes in clinical practice, enable the department to meet statutory requirements, address technological changes, and other technical changes. 

MDH published the “Request the for Comments” in the June 29 Minnesota State Register Volume 50 Number 52 (PDF) and will be accepting comments until 4:30 p.m. on September 8.

MDH will publish the specific modifications to the Minnesota Cancer Surveillance Rules later as part of the “Notice of Intent to Adopt.”
