State Launches Frontline Worker Pay Website

June 2, 2022

The state of Minnesota has set up a website dedicated to providing information on frontline worker pay. It is anticipated that the application for pay will be open June 8 through July 22, although the dates are subject to change. When the system is ready to accept applications, eligible workers will have 45 days to apply for pay.

Additional information will be added to the website as it is developed, including informational handouts in multiple languages and other useful resources. After the application is ready, applicant support will also be available to assist applicants in multiple languages.

To help frontline sector employers better understand the employer notice requirement under the Frontline Worker Pay law and answer questions about the program, the Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry has scheduled an informational webinar for June 3 from 3:30 – 4:30 p.m. Register for the webinar here.
