Rural Health Advisory Committee to Include 2 MMA Members

On April 19, Gov. Tim Walz announced appointments to the state’s Rural Health Advisory Committee (RHAC), which advises the Commissioner of Health and other state agencies on rural health issues. 

MMA member Scharazard Gray, MD, has been appointed to fill the following seat: Health Professional or Advocate with Experience Working with People with Mental Illness. Former MMA President Keith Stelter, MD, has been re-appointed as a physician member.  

Gray and Stelter’s appointments were effective as of April 24 and continue through January 3, 2028.
