Registration Now Open for 2024-2025 MN Physician Leadership Institute

May 2, 2024

Registration for the 2024-2025 cohort of the MMA’s Minnesota Physician Leadership Institute (MNPLI) is now open.

The MNPLI, created by and for physicians, offers an innovative, best-in-class, physician leadership training curriculum to foster professional satisfaction and empower physicians by providing them with the skills, insights, and competencies required to build leadership acumen. The University of Minnesota’s Carlson School of Management is the MMA’s faculty partner for this program.

“The MMA has designed this program to support and elevate physicians as leaders,” said Janet Silversmith, MMA CEO. “Given the program’s breadth and depth of content, combined with a diverse cohort of physician colleagues from across the state, it provides unparalleled value. Minnesota healthcare needs more physician leadership; the MMA is committed to helping to realize that goal.”

The 10-month program includes two new sessions for 2024-2025 enrollees:

  • “Physician Leadership in Quality & Safety” with David Satin, MD. This course will introduce participants to the local, national, and historical quality improvement and patient safety (QI/PS) landscape through small and large group activities.

  • “Physician Health & Well-being" with Corey Martin, MD, who also serves as a MNPLI program co-chair.

The registration fee is set at $7,500 and an exclusive benefit for MMA members. Enrollment is limited to 25, so reserve your spot now.  For more information on the program, visit the program website and check out the feature story in the May-June issue of Minnesota Medicine.

The Minnesota Medical Association is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

This activity has been approved for AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™.
