Physicians Sought for State’s Equitable Health Care Task Force

August 24, 2023

The Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) is currently accepting applications for those interested in serving on a new, legislatively mandated Equitable Health Care Task Force

The task force will examine inequities in how people experience healthcare based on race, religion, culture, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, and disability. It will identify strategies for ensuring that all Minnesotans can receive care and coverage that is respectful and ensures optimal health outcomes.

MDH is “looking for contributors who can lift-up the voices of represented communities and sectors, synthesize information from a variety of sources and perspectives, consider conflicting points of view and help devise innovative next steps.”

If you are interested in applying for the task force, click here. While the MMA does not have a direct appointment on the task force, applicants may request MMA support of their application. To have your application considered for MMA endorsement or for other questions, contact the MMA’s Adrian Uphoff.
