The Minnesota Board of Medical Practice (BMP) is seeking a physician to fill an at-large vacancy.
Interested physicians should apply on the Minnesota Secretary of State website.
MMA members who wish to apply are encouraged to contact the MMA for endorsement consideration. According to Minnesota statute, the governor may appoint members to the board from the list of persons recommended by the MMA, as well as from among other qualified candidates. Physicians desiring MMA endorsement should apply on the Secretary of State website, and then email a duplicate copy of their application materials along with their curriculum vitae to the MMA.
The BMP licenses and registers physicians, physician assistants, respiratory therapists, acupuncturists, athletic trainers, genetic counselors, naturopaths, and traditional midwives; and enforces the relevant practice acts. Successful applicants are expected to devote a minimum of one business day and one Saturday per month, plus preparation time.
