The MMA Board of Trustees recently voted to create a new section to convene LGBTQ+ physicians, physicians-in-training and physicians specializing in LGBTQ+ health issues for networking/support, education and advocacy.
One goal of this section is to expand the scope of MMA’s current health equity initiatives to include issues facing members of the LGBTQ+ community, who are, for example, less likely to have a regular healthcare provider and less likely to have health insurance.
Meetings will take place via Zoom and will likely be held in the evening. If you are interested in getting involved, please email us.
