New Pilot Grant Opportunity: Healthiest State in the Nation

May 7, 2026

The MMA Foundation is launching a pilot Healthiest State in the Nation Grant Program to support a small number of high-impact, physician-led or physician-informed projects that advance community health across Minnesota.

Projects may be new or existing initiatives but must represent a discrete effort or expansion that can be completed within the one-year grant period.

This program reflects the Foundation’s role as the MMA’s philanthropic partner - supporting physician-led solutions that improve health outcomes, and advance the shared goal of making Minnesota the healthiest state and best place to practice.

Up to two projects will be funded in 2026 (up to $5,000 each). This is an invitation-based program, with nominations submitted by MMA and MMA Foundation leadership.  Nominations are due June 1.

The Foundation also offers a regional funding opportunity for physician-engaged projects serving communities in Stearns and Benton counties.
