Due to an unexpected change in the Legislature’s schedule, the MMA has made the decision to move the 2026 Physicians’ Day at the Capitol (DAC) event to Wednesday, March 4, at the Union Depot, 214 Fourth Street East, in downtown St. Paul.
The MMA will provide free transportation to and from the Capitol from Union Depot.
The Minnesota Academy of Family Physicians (MAFP) will also be hosting its 2026 Family Medicine Advocacy Day on March 4 at Union Depot. Its agenda includes an advocacy briefing from noon to 1:30 pm followed by meetings with legislators. MAFP members can register here.
The MMA Physicians’ Day at the Capitol event, which begins at 1 pm, will include remarks from a key lawmaker and most importantly, scheduled meetings with the legislators in your district. Register here. The MMA will hold a virtual pre-DAC session on Wednesday, February 25 from noon to 1 pm. If you sign up for MMA's DAC you will automatically be registered for the pre-session.
“This is a great chance to really make a difference at the Capitol,” said MMA President Lisa Mattson, MD. “Physicians need to meet with lawmakers to make sure they understand how the legislation they are considering will affect our patients and how we practice medicine in Minnesota.”
