MMA-Sponsored Event on Illicit Drug Use Harm Reduction in Minneapolis August 1

The Minnesota Doctors for Health Equity (MDHEQ) will host an event titled “Improving Health for People who Use Drugs: Community Conversation on Current and Future Harm Reduction Practices” on August 1 from 5 to 9 pm at La Doña Cervecerìa, 241 Fremont Ave North, in Minneapolis.

The MMA is pleased to sponsor this event given recent updates to MMA policy on illicit drug use harm reduction and decriminalization. Ryan Kelly, MD, the chair of the MMA’s Illicit Drug Harm Reduction and Decriminalization Work Group, will serve as a panelist, and the MMA’s FAQ on Decriminalization of Drug Possession will be distributed as part of the discussion.
