MMA to Sponsor Rainbow Health’s Conference Featuring New AMA President

September 28, 2023

New AMA President Jesse Ehrenfeld, MD, MPH, will be a featured keynote speaker at Rainbow Health’s “All Gender Health” conference on October 28 from 8 am to 3 pm at Mitchell Hamline School of Law, 875 Summit Avenue, in St. Paul. The MMA is sponsoring the free event.

In June, Ehrenfeld became the first openly gay president of the AMA. For the past two decades, he has been a nationally recognized advocate for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer (LGBTQ+) individuals.

Ehrenfeld is a senior associate dean, tenured professor of anesthesiology and director of the “Advancing a Healthier Wisconsin Endowment” at the Medical College of Wisconsin.

The conference, with the theme “Beyond Barriers, Beyond Binaries: Navigating Health and Legal Landscapes,” will bring together a diverse community of lawyers, advocates, providers, and community members who are committed to challenging and overcoming systemic and institutionalized barriers that disproportionately impact LGBTQIA2S+ communities.
