The MMA Advocacy & Policy Committee (APC) is seeking physician volunteers to serve on its newly created Medical Liability Task Force.
The task force is charged with recommending changes to the APC on MMA policies that deal with medical liability, many of which have not been updated since the 1980s.
The task force is expected to hold its first meeting this fall, with meetings held every two months until the completion of its charge. Meetings will be held virtually at a time that is convenient for most of the members, and will be approximately two hours long.
Physicians with experience and/or interest in medical liability are encouraged to volunteer.
Interested physicians should contact Steph Lindgren, JD, MMA director of government & legal affairs, who will staff the task force.
