MMA Mentorship Program Looking for Mentors from Backgrounds Underrepresented in Medicine

April 4, 2024

The MMA Mentorship Program is designed to support physicians-in-training as they explore a career in medicine. Mentorship has also been shown to promote and maintain fulfillment in medicine.

To help facilitate the development of a more diverse and inclusive physician workforce in Minnesota, the MMA Mentorship Program has expanded to include creating mentorship opportunities for physicians and physicians-in-training who come from backgrounds underrepresented in medicine.

We are currently working with our partner, Northwestern Health Sciences University, to make some mentorship matches, and a few of their pre-med students are looking for diverse mentors.

If you are a medical student, resident/fellow, practicing/retired physician from a background underrepresented in medicine and would like to serve as a mentor for a pre-med student, please visit the MMA website and complete this mentor form
