The MMA Medical Student Section (MSS) has elected its 2024 leadership. The following medical students were elected to serve as officers of the MSS Executive Committee:

Nine physicians represented the MMA at the AMA annual meeting of the House of Delegates (“House”) earlier this week, discussing a range of issues from prior authorization to Medicare sustainability.

The MMA has signed on to support federal bipartisan legislation that would tackle the overuse and abuse of prior authorization (PA) by Medicare Advantage (MA) plans.

On June 10, Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison announced that he is leading a bipartisan coalition of 32 attorneys general from across the country asking the U.S. Supreme Court to rule on states’ authority to regulate pharmacy benefit managers (PBMs).
