The MMA joined a large group of Minnesota organizations that support the University of Minnesota Medical School and CentraCare’s plan to establish a medical school campus in St. Cloud.
Set to open in 2025, the new school would expand the University of Minnesota’s current residency program and would attract, train, and retain rural physicians in greater Minnesota.
The University of Minnesota’s Board of Regents showed its support of the plan at its February 10 meeting. It will be the first new campus to open in Minnesota since 1972.
