MMA to Host Conversations on Race to Promote Health Equity

February 9, 2023

In March, the MMA will continue its Conversations on Race and Equity (CORE) series, which provides a virtual space for physicians to discuss and critically reflect on topics related to health equity.

Each month there will be two facilitated dialogues based on curated content. The monthly topics are:

  • March 27 and 28 - Cultural Humility vs. Cultural Competence

  • April 24 and 25 - Implicit Bias & Microaggressions

  • May 22 and 23 - Centering the Experiences of Diverse Physicians

  • June 12 and 13 - Allyship and Action

This work is part of the MMA’s broader initiatives to address structural racism as a social driver of health, to advance health equity in Minnesota, and to make Minnesota healthcare an inclusive environment for all.
