MMA Conference Will Provide Useful Info on Conflict Resolution, Collective Bargaining, and More

August 10, 2023

There will be a lot to learn at this year's Empowering Physicians' Conference including a session on conflict resolution and a healthcare workforce issues panel discussion. The conference will take place on September 21 at The Marquette Hotel in downtown Minneapolis.

The conference will include a session on how to resolve conflict with co-workers, patients and their families. Also, experts will discuss the many ways that healthcare is evolving from a business point of view, and what this means for physicians and the practice of medicine. The panel will discuss trends and factors revolving around 1) collective bargaining; 2) private equity investments; and 3) independent/physician-owned practices.

The event, which runs from 1 to 8 p.m., will also feature best-selling author, champion of the patient-physician and relationship, and a prominent voice in medicine, Abraham Verghese, MD, MACP, and an opening session with Minnesota Health Commissioner Brooke Cunningham, MD, PhD.
