MEDPAC Endorses 11 Candidates for State Offices

The Board of Directors for MEDPAC, the political arm of the MMA, voted to endorse 11 candidates for the upcoming November election. Endorsed candidates include: 

  • Rep. Dave Baker (R) for House District 16B 

  • Rep. Robert Bierman (DFL) for House District 56A 

  • Sen. Karin Housley (R) for Senate District 33 

  • Rep. John Huot (DFL) for House District 56B 

  • Sen. Matt Klein, MD (DFL) for Senate District 53 

  • Rep. Tina Liebling (DFL) for House District 24B 

  • Former Rep. Alice Mann, MD, MPH (DFL) for Senate District 50 

  • Rep. Kelly Morrison, MD (DFL) for Senate District 45 

  • Sen. Erin Murphy (DFL) for Senate District 64 

  • Rep. Joe Schomacker (R) for House District 21A 

  • Sen. Melissa Halvorson Wiklund (DFL) for Senate District 51 

MEDPAC is the political action committee of the MMA. The MEDPAC Board of Directors is made up of physicians, residents, and medical students from around the state and from across the political spectrum, and physicians from all types of practices. MEDPAC receives no money from the MMA or from MMA member dues..

Kennedy, Jr., to “immediately reinstate” the previously appointed members of the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) within the Centers for Disease Control Prevention (CDC).
