May 1 Forum to Examine Impact of the Federal Government’s Changes to Public Health and Medicaid

The MMA will host a virtual Physician Forum on “How will Federal Budget Cuts and Other Changes Impact Public Health and Medicaid in Minnesota?” on Thursday, May 1, from noon to 1 pm.  

The forum will feature: Brooke Cunningham, MD, PhD, Minnesota Department of Health commissioner; and John Connolly, deputy commissioner and state Medicaid director with the Minnesota Department of Human Services. Edwin Bogonko, MD, MBA, president of the MMA will serve as moderator.

State Budget Forecast Shows Short-Term Surplus, Long-Term Deficit
