Implicit Bias in Healthcare Workshop Set for March 27

March 6, 2025

On March 27 from 5 to 7 p.m., the MMA will offer a live, virtual workshop in which participants will examine implicit bias in healthcare settings, understand how it contributes to health disparities, and learn strategies to address it.

Implicit biases are the unconscious attitudes and stereotypes that we develop toward certain groups of people. Evidence shows that implicit bias can unintentionally affect patient relationships, care decisions, and clinical outcomes.

This work comes at a time when Minnesotans from marginalized communities are experiencing some of the largest health disparities in the nation compared to their white peers.

To reach the broadest audience on this important topic, this workshop is being offered free of charge. Physicians may claim up to 2 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™.

Register here. For questions, please contact Haley Brickner, the MMA’s health equity coordinator.
