Healthcare Disparities in MN to be Discussed at Virtual Event

June 15, 2023

On June 26 at noon, MN Community Measurement (MNCM) will present key findings from its two annual reports on healthcare disparities in Minnesota, as part of the Minnesota Health Equity Community of Practice (CoP).

MNCM will also summarize best practices used in the collection of race, ethnicity, language, and country of origin (RELC) data, use of data on social risk factors, and data completeness for each of these elements. The collection and use of data to improve health outcomes and health equity is currently a high priority in Minnesota and nationally, and the landscape is evolving rapidly.

This virtual meeting is open to all physicians, professionals, and leaders from Minnesota health systems, medical groups, and medical associations with an interest in health equity. To register, click here

The CoP is a peer network dedicated to advancing health equity and addressing the significant racial and ethnic health disparities that persist throughout Minnesota. Health equity leaders and professionals come together quarterly to exchange expertise, network, and discuss issues and priorities. If you are interested in joining or learning more, please contact Haley Brickner, the MMA’s health equity coordinator.
