State Supports Universal Hepatitis B Vaccine Birth Dose

On December 5, the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) voted to eliminate the universal hepatitis B vaccine recommendation for infants.

The Minnesota Department of Health is seeking nominations for the 2023 Immunization Champion Award, a national program hosted by the Association of Immunization Managers that honors those doing exemplary work to foster and promote immunizations in any vaccine category in their community.
The nomination packet can be found here. Nominations will be accepted until Friday, May 19. Completed nomination forms can be sent via email to Melody Doan. Self-nominations are welcome. Individuals can be recognized for their work in any vaccine category.
