The MMA Foundation will offer a two-day Counseling on Access to Lethal Means (CALM) Train-the-Trainer online workshop on March 4 and 5, from 9 am to 3 pm.
The training will be held on the Microsoft Teams platform. Commitment to both days is required for trainer certification.
The workshop will prepare participants to deliver the CALM training within their own organizations and communities. Participants will go through the CALM training, with conversations about the content to become prepared to present effectively, respond to common questions, and anticipate future audience and training needs. These discussions will be followed by enrollees presenting portions of the training slide deck and receiving constructive feedback. Finally, participants will learn how to plan and prepare for a successful training.
Space is limited. People who are interested in becoming a CALM trainer and participating in the training should contact Jenilee Telander.
