Allina Health and Doctors Council-SEIU Reach Tentative Contract Agreement

April 2, 2026

Allina Health and Doctors Council-SEIU have reached a tentative contract agreement, it was reported on April 2.

The three-year agreement includes 600 Allina physicians, physician assistants and nurse practitioners in primary care and urgent care settings. It is reported to be the first union contract for the labor group, which was formed in October 2023. The union had voted last summer to authorize a strike if the two sides could not reach an agreement.

"The tentative agreement reflects the priorities of both parties and supports Allina Health’s ability to continue caring for our community well into the future. This important step forward allows us to focus on caring for patients and supporting the teams who provide that care every day," Allina Health officials said in a statement, according to KARE-TV.

A vote to ratify the agreement is expected to take place over several days starting next week.
