When you are an MMA member, there are so many ways to get involved. It’s easy to find something that is meaningful, worthwhile, and helps improve the lives of physicians, patients, and communities in Minnesota.
- Submit a policy issue or vote on current issues using The Pulse.
- Meet with your state legislators at the Capitol to discuss the most pressing issues in medicine.
- Send an Action Alert to your state senator or representative on an important healthcare issue.
- Learn at a Physician Forum covering the latest topics in the practice of medicine.
- Network with peers at MMA’s events.
- Join one of MMA’s Standing Committees, which advise our Board of Trustees.
- Volunteer to sit on an issue-specific Task Force or Work Group.
- Participate in the Physician Volunteerism Program and help clinics in communities throughout Minnesota.
- Connect with others as a Mentor or Mentee in our Mentorship Program.
- Become a Preceptor, using MMA’s Preceptor Resources to guide your service to medicine.
- Contribute an article to Minnesota Medicine, our award-winning magazine.
- Propose and share innovative strategies and best practices to support physician health and well-being with our Practice Well Collaboratory.
