MMA Offering Discounted Pricing on Opioid Prescribing Training to Fulfill DEA Requirement

As of June 27, 2023, U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) license holders, upon initial registration or renewal, are required to complete at least eight hours of training in the treatment or management of patients with opioid or other substance use disorders. 

The MMA has recently partnered with Clinical Education Alliance (CEA) to offer a one-stop resource to fulfill this training.  

If you have already completed the MMA’s Best Practices in Prescribing Opioids and Other Controlled Substances, you can apply the two hours of credit earned toward the eight-hour requirement. This course was available from January 22, 2020 – December 31, 2022. If you need evidence of completion, you can contact the MMA.
