Two More Minnesota Cities Institute Mask Mandates

January 20, 2022

Minnesota cities continue to debate instituting mask mandates to help slow the spread of the Omicron variant. Recently, the cities of Minnetonka and Rochester joined Duluth, Golden Valley, Hopkins, Minneapolis and St. Paul with temporary mandates.

On Jan. 6, the MMA distributed a statement to media across the state supporting Minneapolis and St. Paul's decision to re-institute mask mandates.

CentraCare physicians have petitioned St. Cloud and surrounding communities to put mandates into place, but have so far been unsuccessful.
