Be SMART is a program developed by the Everytown for Gun Safety Support Fund to educate adults on the importance of secure firearm storage.  Secure firearm storage is an evidence-based practice for reducing firearm injury and death in children and adolescents, including suicides, as well preventing gun theft.  Be SMART MN is proud to partner with the Minnesota Medical Association in educating physicians on having these life-saving conversations with patients and caregivers.

MEDPAC is the political arm of the MMA, enabling physicians to directly impact the political atmosphere at the Minnesota State Capitol. MEDPAC works to elect candidates who support the MMA's policy positions and will support the MMA's legislative priorities. Endorsements and contributions are decided by a Board of Trustees made up of physicians and physicians-in-training from around the state, of all specialties, and from across the political spectrum.

The Minnesota Rare Disease Advisory Council advocates for the one in 10 Minnesotans affected by rare diseases. Our mission is to provide advice on research, diagnosis, treatment, and education related to rare diseases.

MNAPG works to raise public awareness about problem gambling and the stigma that’s often associated with it. We advocate for funding for treatment programs and provide professional training for those who work with problem gamblers. The collective impact of our efforts helps individuals, their families and their communities deal with the devastating effects of problem gambling.
