Written comments in support of or in opposition to the proposed rules or any part or subpart of the rules should be submitted by June 12 to the Office of Administrative Hearings (OAH) Comments On Rules.
A hearing on the rules is possible if MDH receives 25 or more written requests; a hearing, if needed, would be held on June 25, beginning at 9:30 a.m.
Information on the proposed changes, such as the proposed rules, the Notice of Intent to Adopt (which outlines the comment and hearing process), and the Statement of Need and Reasonableness (SONAR), are available at the MDH Communicable disease Rulemaking Website: Amendment to Rules Governing Communicable Disease Reporting.
A free copy of the rules are also available from Patricia Segal Freeman (651-201-5414 or 1-800-657-3970; MDH, P.O. Box 64975, St. Paul, MN 55164-0097).
