MMA Board Approves Restrictive Covenant Policy

The MMA Board of Trustees approved a policy at its February 8 meeting that opposes restrictive covenants in all physician employment contracts because they restrict competition, can disrupt continuity of care, and may limit access to care. 

Board Approves Policy Proposal on Harm Reduction of Illicit Drug Use

At its February 8 meeting, the MMA Board of Trustees (BOT) approved a policy proposal titled “Harm Reduction of Illicit Drug Use,” which contains language on a set of strategies to reduce the negative consequences associated with illicit drug use.
