Resources for physicians

Minnesota Prescription Monitoring Program (PMP)

The PMP collects data on prescriptions for controlled substances and monitors their use in order to detect diversion, abuse and misuse. By law, pharmacies and other prescription drug dispensers are required to enter data into the system whenever certain substances are given to patients. Physicians can access the data via a secure online system.
