Medical Cannabis

As of June 1, 2015, Minnesota physicians can certify that their patients have one of nine conditions that qualify them to take part in the state’s medical cannabis program. Starting July 1, 2015, patients, once they are certified and registered with the Office of Medical Cannabis, can purchase cannabis in pill, liquid or oil form at any distribution center in the state.

These webpages are dedicated to helping Minnesota physicians understand the law and providing them with useful resources so they can provide the best care to patients.

If you have questions, please contact us at mma@mnmed.org.

For specific questions regarding the law, please contact Becca Branum, MMA’s policy counsel.
