The Minnesota Medical Association is partnering with Epocrates to bring members a 25 percent discount on all Epocrates software products.* (Medical students and residents can receive a 50 percent discount and must use a different discount code.) Epocrates has also added Medicare Part D formularies.

Epocrates offers downloadable clinical reference software which includes drugs, diseases, and diagnostic information compatible with Pocket PC and Palm OS handheld devices synchronizing to a Windows PC OR a PDA with Epocrates Software.
Four Epocrates products — Epocrates Essentials Deluxe, Epocrates Essentials, Epocrates Rx Pro, and Epocrates Online® Premium — are available for download from their website (www.epocrates.com) as either annual or two-year, low-cost subscriptions.
What Do They Do?
Epocrates Essentials Deluxe: Includes everything in Epocrates Essentials, plus Epocrates Coder (over 20,000 ICD-9/CPT® codes) and Epocrates Dictionary (over 100,000 medical dictionary terms, definitions and synonyms).
Epocrates Essentials: This all-in-one mobile guide to drugs, diseases, and diagnostics includes Epocrates Rx Pro (premium drug reference), Epocrates Dx (disease reference), and Epocrates Lab (lab diagnostic reference).
Epocrates Rx Pro: Lighten your administrative burden and your pockets with Epocrates' premium drug reference. Epocrates Rx Pro drug reference includes over 3,000 monographs including adult and pediatric dosing, contraindications and cautions and adverse reactions; an alternative medicine guide covering over 400 herbals; MultiCheck function capable of checking up to 30 drugs simultaneously for interactions; health plan formulary coverage and retail prices; Epocrates ID infectious disease treatment guide; and built-in dosing and medical calculators.
Epocrates Online® Premium: Web-based drug and formulary reference with added patient care features takes Epocrates’ clinical reference suite to the desktop via the Internet enabling users to access most of the features of the Epocrates Rx Pro drug reference. It also includes the robust MedCalc 3000 tools featuring hundreds of medical equations, clinical criteria, decision trees and unit and dose converters; a full color pill picture database and pill identifier; and patient medication information handouts in English and Spanish.
