MMA Forum to Discuss Medical Assistance and MinnesotaCare

[MMA News Now, Feb. 7, 2013] The MMA will host a town hall forum on the future of Minnesota’s public programs on March 6 from 5:30 to 8 p.m. at the Ramada Plaza Minneapolis.
The event, “Medical Assistance and MinnesotaCare after the ACA: Challenges and Opportunities for Physicians,” will feature Carol Backstrom, Minnesota’s Medicaid director.
Physicians from across the state will gather to share experiences, concerns and ideas:
• For delivering high-quality, affordable care to Medical Assistance/MinnesotaCare enrollees;
• For ensuring adequate Medical Assistance/MinnesotaCare payment for physician services; and
• For finding alternatives to the provider tax as a source of financing the Medical Assistance and MinnesotaCare programs.
