[MMA News Now, Nov. 8, 2012] Minnesota Medicine, the journal of the Minnesota Medical Association, earned four 2012 Publishing Excellence Awards from the Minnesota Magazine and Publishing Association (MMPA) on Nov. 1.

Minnesota Medicine earned the following honors:

Silver Award
• Best how-to article: “Doctor, What’s the Story” (December 2011) written by Kate Ledger

Bronze Award
• Best technical article: “Sweet Debate” (August 2011) written by Trout Lowen
• Best profile article: "Tumor Fighter" (January 2012) written by Kim Kiser
• Best single-topic issue: Bringing Home Baby (March 2012, the Ob/Gyn issue)
