MMA Takes Inside Look at Minnesota’s Insurance Exchange

[MMA News Now, Oct. 4, 2012] The MMA has published a special 12-page publication that takes an in-depth look at the development of Minnesota’s health insurance exchange. Subscribers to Minnesota Medicine will receive the issue next week in the mail.
 | The 12-page special edition examines Minnesota's effort to create a health insurance exchange. | “The exchange is a huge part of the ACA’s rollout and holds great promise in improving how individuals and small employers purchase insurance and how low-income Minnesotans can access needed financial supports,” said Janet Silversmith, MMA director of health policy. “Although many questions remain regarding how it will work and how it will be funded we felt this was a good time to provide our members with background information so that they are better informed.”
The publication includes: an overview and detailed timeline on the exchange’s creation; a look at how MMA members are involved; and an examination of Massachusetts’ and Utah’s exchanges.
