Feb. 7 Chosen as Day at the Capitol
Date: 27-09-2012
[MMA News Now, Sept. 27, 2012] The MMA has chosen Feb. 7, 2013, for its next Day at the Capitol event.
For more than 20 years, MMA has hosted Day at the Capitol as its marquee meeting between Minnesota physicians and state lawmakers.
The MMA created the event to provide physicians the opportunity to meet lawmakers face to face and discuss health-related concerns they and their patients face.
“With dozens of new legislators arriving in St. Paul in January for the 2013 legislative session and a budget deficit looming, the time is now for physicians to weigh in with elected officials,” said Eric Dick, MMA manager of state legislative affairs.
The day will include briefings and updates from MMA staff, remarks from key legislative and administrative officials, meetings with individual legislators as well as a late-afternoon reception for physicians.
Keep an eye out for future editions of MMA News Now for details on the annual event.
