"Doc fix" fails to pass, despite yes votes by MN Senators

Emails and calls from hundreds of MMA members this week helped to convince Senators Al Franken and Amy Klobuchar to vote in favor of the “doc fix” bill that would have repealed Medicare’s SGR formula. However, the proposal to avert steep cuts in Medicare payments to physicians failed to pass Wednesday on a vote of 47 to 53.
