Register online for MMA Annual Meeting, Sept. 17-19

MINNEAPOLIS. July 31, 2008—The 155th Annual Meeting of the Minnesota Medical Association will be held September 17-19 in St. Paul.

Registrations are being accepted online at this page.

The Annual Meeting allows Minnesota physicians to come together as the MMA House of Delegates and debate actions and policies put forward by component medical societies, by specialty societies, and by individual physicians.

To become a delegate, MMA members should contact their component medical society, specialty society, or section. This can be done by email. mail or telephone.

The Annual Meeting also includes:

  • The annual meeting for MEDPAC, the MMA's political arm
  • The caucuses of component medical societies
  • A meeting of the delegation to the American Medical Association
  • The presentation of numerous awards
  • The election of officers for the year to come
  • The inauguration of the new MMA president.

In addition, there are receptions, meals, talks, and exhibits.

This year the MMA will again be offering several educational sessions as part of the schedule. The courses are open to all physicians.

A schedule of Annual Meeting events can be downloaded here

MMA members who have never participated in the House of Delegates are encouraged to take part. Debating and voting for resolutions have a ripple effect, providing guidance to other leaders and opinion-makers, while improving the health of all Minnesotans.

The event will be held at the Crowne Plaza Hotel-Riverfront in St. Paul. For room reservations, contact the Crowne Plaza at this link.
