Mar. 29: "Dementia Conference 2008"
MINNEAPOLIS, January 26, 2008—The Alzheimer's Association Minnesota North Dakota Chapter, together with the Mayo Clinic , will be sponsoring "A Meeting of the Minds: The Dementia Conference 2008," on March 29, at St. Paul's RiverCentre.
The conference, featuring national and local experts on Alzheimer's disease and related dementias, is a resource for people looking for best practices that enhance the quality of life and quality of care for persons with dementia. It offers an opportunity for individuals with early stages of the disease, professionals and caregivers to come together for a day of education, sharing and support.
The 2007 conference sold out with over 750 attendees, so plans have been made to accommodate a growing interest in dementia
skills and care. Early-Bird registration is $80, which includes the keynote addresses, lunch, workshops and an exhibition/bookfair. Registration after February 27 is $100. Family scholarships are available.
