[MMA News Now, July 24, 2014] The new Annual Conference will feature three opportunities for physicians to share their ideas with the MMA.
An “open issues” forum will give participants a chance to express their opinions about issues they feel are important for MMA to review, discuss and possibly take action. Ideas can be submitted to the MMA before Aug. 22 for consideration. This process is similar to the resolution process of past annual meetings where potential issues are brought forward by members. Ideas or issues can be submitted using this online form
The conference also will feature two policy forums discussing important issues identified by the newly formed Policy Council. Physicians are encouraged to attend the forums and express their opinions. The two issues include: telehealth expansion with discussions of regulatory, legal, coverage and payment issues; and the future of the health Care workforce that will cover how Minnesota should ensure access to, competency of, and quality care from all workforce members.
In addition to the policy forums, this year’s conference will offer national and local speakers, 8.5 CME credits, low registration fees, networking, family fun and many MMA traditions. Register
