The MMA offers several ways for physicians to advocate for the issues they care about in their communities and at the Capitol.

Day At The Capitol

Usually held in March, physicians gather at the Capitol to meet with lawmakers and receive grassroots training. This year's will take place March 6, 2008, from 1:30 to 4 p.m. in the Capitol’s Rotunda.

Capitol Rounds

An opportunity to schedule a personalized day at the Capitol that includes a tour and meetings with your lawmakers. To take part, contact the MMA Legislative team.

District meetings

A one-hour casual meeting with your state representative or senator. These meetings are traditionally held at a physician's home, clinic or at a coffee shop. To learn more, contact the MMA Legislative team.

Minnesota Voices for Public Health

MMA staff provide physicians with the support and training they need to mobilize tobacco-prevention efforts in their communities. To learn more, contact the MMA Legislative team at (800) 342-5662.

Legislative Action Network
